You and I

You and I
Look at what you have and I don't, you act like the biggest show boat. You have money galore, and your riches go from the ceiling to the floor. You got a little prideful when you it the big bucks, so now you need your old friends your the one who sold out your out of luck. The media took you places you never thought you would go, you went on the best tours and played amazing shows. You look back and wonder how did I get here in a few months span, I used to know a few people here and there now I can't tell who's my biggest fan. Look at me I did not get caught up in the worldly things, now I see you are a changed person waling with your bling bling. Nothing is new just like in high school you followed the crowd, except now you have all sorts of eyes on you watch what you do make sure its allowed. Now just for a season take a short look at me, I don't have the worlds eyes watching I am not contained just a little more free. I am still humble as ever never letting the world get ahead of me, if so I would feel so trapped and just feel like I need to flee. I am still in the slumps of where we grew up keeping it real, you have no idea how bad its gotten you could at least come pay a visit son this is how i feel. Now I am going to school and working a nine to five, and trying to make a way to stay alive. In this underground world we never get respected, and do we ever get to help with who will be elected. Times are getting hard on this wild ride, now stay real don't let me catch you in a place where you think you can hide.
