My Brother's Keeper

My Brother's Keeper

There he is standing keeping an eye out and defending the front line, a wife along with two kids, a home and plenty of other things he has left behind. He made the choice to sign along the dotted line, he had a plan along with a future he told his wife "Don't worry hun everything will be fine". He wanted to better his family and give him and them something in the long run, he enlisted and committed knew it would be hard just was not sure how much fun. Working hard paying the price in the hot heat in Baghdad, his days become brighter and happier as he reads the words from his kids "we love you, come home soon dad". Each night as he goes to bed he folds his arms and this is what he says "Dear Lord bless and watch my wife and kids while I am away, bless me to become a stronger man that I may survive amen". A sacrifice he has made to defend his country every night and day, the blessings shall come through our freedom, experiences, education, and the money they shall pay. He has now become a hero to so many others from the choice he has made, I now realize after nights I cry times Ive prayed that he was my hero from the first day. I never realized what this soldiers life meant to mine, I look back at my past and see he is always there right by my side and I begin to feel just fine. I may be younger then this man and he may lead by example since he is older, for all of these reasons this is who I am proud to say is my brother, the one I call my solider.

Paying The Time

Paying The Time

You spend the time you did the crime; it stings as though an open wound is being filled with juice from a lime. You sit in a little place with bars in the front and walls on the side, people are glad since you are out of society but its the worst place to hide. I now feel the guilt upon my shoulders for what I have done, at the time it seemed like loads of fun. Now I have all the time to ponder about my mistakes, sadly enough I have caused so many heartaches. I am stuck in this cell block with nothing that I enjoy, I guess now is the time for me to do things I should have as a little boy. I can now lift weights and read books which ever ones I may, I can also learn to pray and make this a routine each day. I spend my cold nights sleeping on this tattered bed; I feel as though I get the worse meals long as its food I am happy that I have been fed. We go out in the day to shoot hoops and play ball, A long wait each time on the new day to make my one call. I miss my family and how much they mean to me, sometimes its hard in here for me I just want to pick up my things and flee. Its going to be sometime until I am back out in public, doing the things I enjoy time will go by but it sure won't be quick. I receive the love from the ones who know me best by letters, I get to see what's going on in there life these things seem to make my day better. When I get out I will scream and shout, this I know because of the joy that I will feel with out a doubt.

The Final Ending

The Final Ending

I see that smile on your face, oh how can I tell If I am winning the race, trying to tell if you are ahead is an unsolved case. My days are long my nights are short, should I keep going or should I abort. I can't feel your vibes at certain places, I don't know If I am stuck on first or I am rounding the bases. The sun shines my eyes light up, for I am starring at my long awaited butter cup. The long wait is slowly coming to a close, from my heart to yours, our friendship from here on out won't grow. How can I tel if you adore me, or I am just being a real bore and you just watch me be. My tears are strolling slowly down my cheeks because of my sadness, with you I will never know If i can receive that gladness. I will never know if you miss me, or at certainan times you are going to dis me. The road is slowly coming to a close, and the flower pedals have finally fallen off the last rose. As I start to walk away you realize what you will be missing, how you and I will do no more kissing. As we walk a way from each other, it will be the hardest times but we both one day will find our eternal lovers.

For Alby's wife

Found

How does one get to where you are, is it close or is it far. Can i walk or should i drive a car, can I sink a birdie to reach you or can I get away with a par. I know how to reach your state of mind, its pure love and I just need to be kind. To have that happiness in you and that great smile on your face that will never erase, hopefully I can solve this mystery and complete this case. I am starting to see you fall head over heels, what you are going through I can now feel. It is peace it is joy that you feel in your heart, from this time on I will be the boy you dreamed of and we will never part. Your long legs that are nice and tan , OK mission complete I will be your man that you have always wanted as your life time fan. You make me shine just like the stars, don't worry babe I will always be by your side and wont go far. Your the one I adore I am sure that you have heard that before, but its from me so now you can close the door. I am rounding second base and I have solved the case. Now I am heading home, since I am with you there is no need to roam.

Only The Lonely

Only The Lonely

A man stands lonely upon a city corner begging for something just anything to keep him going for his day to day means. A penny, nickle or dime to give him these things could it be no crime. An old wrinkly face scuffed on the edges a white grayish beard, just from seeing the looks we are feared. Old clothes they wear all the time this life style for them must blow, he chooses to beg for what reason we do not know maybe by the things we do they or we will grow. Abandoned by his family or chosen this path on his own he will eventually find his way home or where he wants to go. A woman all she has is bags on her feet all she need is a few other necessities to keep. We bring goodies to these people to help out and to be kind to another human under the same mind. Torn apart by others throughout a depressing childhood he did all he was able to stay afloat, until someone sank his boat. Gave up on the world now he sits among them to get back what he feels he deserves. Some sit on buckets with signs some true others make believe for only hoping for what they want to achieve. Some need money some need beer, spending it on the booze is what we fear. Buy them dinner or take them to lunch, get to know them as a person just don't group them as a bunch. We say at times hey look there is a bum begging but to someone else it could be a person needing help for they lack the simple essentials. Help is what they need what is really demanded is a friend in deed. There soul with in themselves is bleeding for they long to be loved but they have lost there connection with the man above. Give them a snack bring them a lunch bag, all we know is they wear an imaginary name tag. An alien to us a friend to some, just talk to them you will find out where they came from. They are always around us in society through out our days, ever since the beginning with the peasants it has been a sad craze. Hard days are always going there way, give them a brake and help out as you pass them through out your day. Do not be ashamed for helping them in any way, you will not be to blame just do your best it will be OK each day.

Song

Wasted By The Night

He takes a beer in his hand to take a drink,
his eyes start to feel it and they continue to blink.
He starts with one then two, three and four
all these can he go anymore. He stands up feeling a
little woozy, he is about to fall over from being so dizzy.

He takes a stand for what he believes, this he wants to achieve. Then after all he has drank, he has the ability to no long think.

He continues what he had paned at the beginning of
the night, after all he has drank he just sees the dark
no longer the light. He goes to the dish to grab his keys,
as he does so he hears his friends crying pleas.

He takes a stand for what he believes, this he wants to achieve. Then after all he has drank, he has the ability to no longer think.

They watch him go to his car as he begins to drive,
they wonder if there good friend will still be alive.
The next morning they heard the news,
young boy drunk at the wheel and dead now
the community has the blues.

Save the best for Last

Our Story

Its been a little over two and a half years since we first met, Ive had quit the experiences among other ups and downs that I don't regret. What happened when we first ran into each other and danced, is something we will both never forget and are glad we both took the chance. A smile and then a kiss from those very sweet lips, my hands on your pretty face move to hold you around your waist. We had our first kiss outside the church by the trax, I asked you a lot of questions to get to know you I made you feel relaxed. I wanted to tickle you but you said I wouldn't find it, I told you don't worry Ive got time that's all I have ahead of me . We ended up parting ways to never see or talk to each other for two years, you came back into my life at Lowe's and i threw away any fears. I said Id call you but I never did, you found me a week later at my other job as though I was hiding and you were finding and I was just a kid. I called you when I got off work that night, I asked If we could spend the next day together you said yes with out a fight. From that day forth started our courtship and I even sparked the fire with a kiss, I hope this moves on to a long relationship your lips, your hands, your touch those simple things is what I miss. Never in a million years did I or you think we would be here together today, I am pretty positive we would not have it any other way.
